How this library works

How to use these concepts.

The concepts in this library are a blend of two proven ways of working: CPS (Creative Problem Solving) and Amazon Working Backwards. CPS gives the divergent energy generate many ideas, look at the problem from different angles, and resist narrowing too soon. Working Backwards adds the pressure test, start from the desired outcome and the customer experience, then work back to what would need to be true for the idea to land.

Think of this as the divergent thinking phase. The goal is not to pick one concept and run with it. The goal is to spark something: a phrase, a benefit, a data source, a way of measuring success. A visitor should be able to skim, get curious, and find an angle they had not considered.

Then comes the convergent stage. Teams come together, take the parts that resonate, combine ideas, strip away what does not fit, and refine the concept until it matches their organization’s constraints, data, and appetite. No concept here is a finished proposal. Each one is a starting point.

Concept anatomy

Every concept brief follows the same structure. The consistency lets you compare ideas quickly and helps a team move from “that sounds interesting” to “this is what we would actually build.”

  1. 01Concept Title

A clear, human-readable name for the idea so it can be discussed and remembered.

  2. 02Win Statement

The one-sentence outcome should what changes for the person, team, or business if this works.

  3. 03Description

The job to be done, the scenario, and why AI is a plausible fit.

  4. 04Key Benefits

The concrete advantages that make the concept worth considering.

  5. 05Success Metrics

What to measure, what good looks like in a pilot, and how to interpret the result.

  6. 06Executive FAQ

The questions leaders usually ask first, answered directly.

  7. 07Services Needed

Which AI service; Copilot Premium, Copilot Studio, or Azure Foundry is the natural starting point.

  8. 08Data Sources

The information the concept needs to be grounded and trustworthy.

  9. 09Implementation Considerations

The guardrails, risks, and human-in-the-loop checks that shape delivery.

  10. 10Next Actions

Practical first steps to move from idea to validated experiment.

  11. 11Potential Impact

Qualitative and quantitative benefits if this concept was developed.

  12. 12Estimated Timeline

An indicative pilot window, broken into phases, so teams can plan conversations.

Surface fit

M365 Copilot (Premium)

Start here when the work already lives in Microsoft 365 and the job is reasoning, researching, drafting, analyzing, or coordinating in the flow of work.

Copilot Studio

Start here when people need a governed agent or agent flow that connects trusted knowledge, business rules, systems, tools, and actions.

Microsoft Foundry (Azure)

Start here for managed or hosted agents, custom applications, model choice, advanced tools, multimodal work, or deeper evaluation and control.

Hybrid solution

Use a combination when the employee experience belongs in Copilot but complex data, models, or workflow logic must run elsewhere.

Provenance

Workshop-derived entries came out of real sessions with real teams. Inferred candidates are adjacent concepts added to widen the search space — treat them as prompts, not precedent.
